Economists and political analysts have recently described the current DRC government as eager to establish and implement infrastructure and policies that support the local economy's modernization and growth.

Namibia gained independence in 1990, inheriting an economy with a limited industrial foundation and a strong reliance on the production and export of primary commodities such as meat, fish, and minerals. To address this structural imbalance, the government committed to an economic diversification strategy aimed at creating dynamic industrial and service sectors through increased manufacturing activities, promotion of value addition to locally produced raw materials, and modernization of the financial and information technology sectors. To encourage foreign direct investment, Namibia enacted free-market liberal policies such as the Foreign Investment Act and Export Processing Zone, as well as providing favorable incentives to exporters and manufacturers.

Despite possessing a number of natural resources including graphite, chromite, coal, fish, and hydropower, Madagascar remains an agriculture-based economy. Of the nation's $37.5 billion GDP (PPP), 25% is contributed by the, which is also responsible for 80% of employment on the island. Madagascar is the world's, while coffee, sugarcane, and rice are also key agricultural products. With insufficient domestic demand, Madagascar’s economy is dependent on the exportation of its agricultural products.

Togo has a population of 8.97 million people and is ranked number 38 in Africa according to the nominal GDP ($8.49 billion). Even though Togo is one of the smallest countries in Africa, it has one of the highest standards of living owing to its well-developed export sector and phosphate deposits.

Sudan has a population of about 44.91 million as of 2021 and occupies the third-largest area and country in the Arab League and Africa. Mining and agriculture are among the economic driving forces in the supply sector and investment and private consumption in the demand sector. The country’s currency is in Sudanese pounds (ج.س.).

Mali's financial freedom score is 55.9, ranking it at 114 in the 2022 Index. Mali is categorized as 18th of 47 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, it has a general score greater than the zonal standards. From 2017, the country's financial growth slowed, rose in 2019, fell in 2020, and recovered in 2021. The government enhances economic diversity and overall financial growth, thus, monetary freedom is strong.

In 2019, a majority of Algeria's labor force was employed in the service industry. Since 2010, the services industry has employed over 60% of all workers in the country. Employment rates by industry are relatively consistent, with the industrial sector attracting roughly 30% of the workforce. In 2018, the number of individuals working in agriculture fell to less than 10% of the total working population in Algeria.

Algeria's economy is distinguished by the dominance of the secondary and tertiary industries. The industrial sector is reliant on oil and gas resources. Algeria is an Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) member, and its economy is primarily reliant on petroleum production and trading. Oil rents generated more than 15% of GDP in 2018. However, the oil and gas business does not require a huge labor force, hence the majority of the working population is employed in the service sector. Furthermore, the country's service industry has expanded in recent years, leading to diversification of the economy.

Sierra Leone has a population of 8.24 million people and is ranked number 41 in Africa per nominal GDP ($4.41 Billion). Sierra Leone practices a traditional economic system, and most of the people rely on subsistence agriculture.

Guinea Bissau has a population of 2.04 million people. It is ranked number 51 in Africa according to the nominal GDP ($ 1.59 billion). Guinea Bissau practices a traditional economic system and relies heavily on farming and fishing.

Zambia's financial freedom score is 48.7, ranking it at 154 in the 2022 Index. Zambia is categorized as 36th of 47 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, it has a general score greater than the zonal. From 2017, the country's financial growth rose, slowed in 2019, fell in 2020, and recovered in 2021. The monetary freedom is somehow strong. 

Rwanda's GDP grew by 10.1 percent year over year in the third quarter of 2021, following a record 20.6 percent expansion in the third quarter. The services sector was the key driver of the growth, particularly hotels and restaurants grew at 62 percent, transportation 19 percent, repair and maintenance of motor vehicles six percent, information and communication 14 percent, and financial services 11 percent. Mining and quarrying 30%, infrastructure 15%, and manufacturing 7% all contributed positively to the industrial sector. Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries grew at six and seven percent respectively. The GDP increased by 1.2 percent every quarter, following an initial estimate of 4.6 percent expansion in the preceding quarter.

Eritrea's major job sectors are agriculture, light industries, fishing, and services, such as tourism. Agriculture has historically supported the majority of the population but it accounts for less than a fifth of the GDP and less than half of export sales. However, other industries, particularly marine-related activities and services, are increasing, and agriculture is evolving to a modern sector.

Eritrea's economic freedom score is 39.7, ranking it at 171 in the 2022 Index of Economic Freedom. Eritrea is placed 44th out of 47 Sub-Saharan African countries, and its overall rating is lower than the regional and global averages.

Equatorial Guinea has a population of 1.477 million and is ranked number 31 in Africa according to the nominal GDP ($ 12.53 billion). Equatorial Guinea is one of the fastest-growing economies in Africa after the discovery of natural gas and petroleum. More so, it is transitioning from a  planned economy to a mixed market economy.

Zimbabwe's economic freedom score is 33.1, ranking it 173rd in the 2022 Index. Zimbabwe is placed 46th out of 47 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, and its overall score is lower than the regional and global averages. Zimbabwe's economic growth has slowed over the last five years but it is expected to increase by 5.4 percent this year, The growth will be fueled by expansion in the mining, manufacturing, and electrical sectors. According to the 2022 proposed budget, the government revenue is forecast to increase to 17.8 percent of GDP, up from 16.4 percent in 2021.

Djibouti has a population of 988,002 people and is ranked number 42 in Africa per nominal GDP ($3.68 Billion). Djibouti practices a mixed economic system with a variety of private freedom and government regulation.

Gabon's financial freedom score is 55.8, ranking it at 115 in the 2022 Index. Gabon is categorized 19th of 47 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. It has a general score greater than the zonal and lower than the universal standards. From 2017, the country's financial growth rose, fell in 2020, and recovered in 2021. Government spending and monetary, fiscal stability scores are strong. 

Angola's financial freedom score is 52.6, ranking it at 139 in the 2022 Index. Angola is categorized as the 29th of 47 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, it has a general score lower than the zonal standards. From 2017, the country's financial growth slowed rose in 2019, fell in 2020, and recovered in 2021. Angola's judicial freedom and property rights have risen, raising its financial freedom by 4.1 points over the last five years. Government spending and tax burden are strong, the country has two preferential trade agreements in effect and has a 7.5 % tariff rate. 

The Republic of Congo is one of the most populous countries in Africa, with a population of 93 Million. Based on nominal GDP, Congo is ranked number 12 in Africa ($54.83 billion). DRC has recently shifted towards a market economy.

Ethiopia, with a population of over 115 million as per 2020, is Africa's second most populous country in Africa. Ethiopia has been one of the world's fastest growing economies over the last 15 years at an average of 105 per year. Among other reasons, capital accumulation, particularly through public infrastructure projects, drove growth. The agriculture sector employs over 70% of the population and was unaffected by the COVID-19 epidemic.

Malawi has a population of 19.13 million, and most of this population engages in subsistence agriculture and cash crop farming. Additionally, Malawi is ranked number 34 in Africa with a nominal GDP of $12.15 billion.

An employment contract in Malawi must be written in the local language, and every party should get a copy within the first month of work.

Comoros has a population of 850,886 people and is ranked number 53 in Africa according to the nominal GDP ($ 1.28). Comoros has a mixed economic system and relies heavily on agriculture.

Guinea's financial freedom score is 54.2, ranking it at 129 in the 2022 Index. Guinea is categorized as 25th of 47 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. It has a general score greater than the zonal, its financial growth was slow but it recovered in 2020, countering the global trend. Since 2017, economic freedom has risen by 6.6 points, thus, it was categorized as "Mostly unfree" in 2018. 

Burundi has a population of 12.46 million and is ranked number 45 in Africa according to the nominal GDP ($ 3.19 billion). Burundi practices a traditional economic system, and 80% of the population is involved in agriculture.

Cameroon's financial freedom score is 52.9, ranking it at 136 in the 2022 Index. Cameroon is categorized as the 27th of 47 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. From 2017, the country's financial growth steadily increased and it raised its financial freedom by 1.1 points. In 2020, this steady growth got diverted but it recovered in 2021. Fiscal status and business freedom are high, government spending is also strong.

Chad has a population of 16.91 million and is ranked number 32 in Africa according to nominal GDP ($12.35 billion). Chad is a mixed economic system that relies heavily on subsistence farming and livestock.

In the third quarter of 2021, employment in the formal non-agricultural industry grew by 52 000, bringing the total number of people working in the formal non-agricultural sector in South Africa to roughly 9.62 million. Additionally, the formal sector jobs increased by 54 000 year on year, according to a study released by Statistics South Africa's (Stats SA),  Quarter-on-quarter, total employment rose by 52 000 (0.5%), from 9 568 000 in June 2021 to 9 620 000 in September 2021. The rise was attributed to job increases in the following industries: community services (63 000 jobs, or 2.3 percent), mining (7 000 jobs, or 1.5 percent), and transportation (7 000 jobs, or 1.5 percent) (1 000 or 0.2 percent). The power industry did not experience any job increases but trade (-13 000 or -0.6%), business services (-3 000 or -0.1%), manufacturing (-2 000 or -0.2%), and construction (-2 000 or -0.2%). (-1 000 or -0.2 percent) reported job decreases. Overall, between September 2020 and September 2021, the total employment in the country increased by 56 000 (0.6%).

Sao Tome and Principe is the second smallest and second less populous country in Africa with a population of 225, 768 people. It is also ranked the last country in Africa according to the nominal GDP ($0.53 billion. Sao Tome and Principe practices a mixed economic system, with a variety of private freedom and some level of government regulation.

The Ivory Coast's financial freedom score is 61.6, ranking it at 76 in the 2022 Index. Ivory Coast is categorized as the 4th of 47 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, it has a general score more significant than the zonal and universal standards. From 2017, the country's financial growth steadily rose at a six percent rate. The country’s investment freedom and tax burden have risen, it currently has four favorable trade agreements and an 8.2 % tariff rate. Government spending and tax burden are strong. Pro-business policies and significant private investment in mining, agribusiness, light production, services, housing, and farming have fueled recent massive financial expansion in the country. There are no rules that restrict foreign investment in most industries, credit distribution is dependent on market conditions and has expanded to promote private industry and wealth creation. 

Nigeria is one of the largest economies in Africa, it is a mixed type of economy combining state-owned and private enterprises. Nigeria's GDP in 2020 amounted to 152,32 trillion Naira, over 400 billion U.S. dollars

Nigeria is the 17th African country with the highest GDP per capita and the first in terms of overall GDP. The GDP per capita is computed by dividing a country's GDP by its population. As a result, a populous country with a low total GDP will have a low GDP per capita, whereas a small rich nation will have a high GDP per capita. Nigeria is one of the most populous countries in Africa (206 million people), thus, its wealth must be distributed among the people.

In Kenya, employment is governed by the general law of employment contracts as well as the common law principle. Here, people see employment as a one-on-one relationship between the employee and the employer. Both the Kenyan constitution of 2010 and the Employment Act of 2012  clearly state that employees' and workers' rights must be protected. As a result, Kenyan employees are protected from discrimination based on their age, religion, sexual orientation, articulation, and race. 

Some of the things to consider during the hiring process in Kenya include minimum wages, public holidays, overtime rates, and compulsory leaves.

The Republic of Tunisia's population was 11.9 million people indicating a gradual increase in population. Based on the World Bank report, Tunisia’s GDP was $39.24 billion in 2020, and its GDP represents approximately 0.03% of the global economy; a 3.6% GDP growth rate is projected in 2022 in Tunisia. Prudent fiscal and economic planning have led to the mild but sustainable growth of the past decade in the country. Tunisia has various strengths such as proximity to Europe, diverse sectors such as textile, aeronautics, and chemicals, the availability of qualified labor and extreme fishery and agricultural potential, and sizable gas, oil, as well as phosphate deposits. 

Tanzania's main industries include agriculture, fishing, mining, manufacturing, energy, telecommunications, and information technology. Many people work in tourism, as Tanzania is home to some of Africa's most popular tourist destinations, including the Serengeti National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro, Lake Victoria, and Olduvai Gorge. According to statistics, in 2019, 65.09% of Tanzanians worked in agriculture, 6.47% in industry, and 28.44% in the service sector. 

Seychelles has a population of 99,335 people. It has the highest GDP in Africa ($12.3 billion) and is highly dependent on fisheries and tourism. However, in terms of nominal GDP, it is ranked number 52 in Africa with a nominal GDP of $1.29 billion.
